Our preschool children at Poppies Holmer Green have been taking part in a variety of activities to celebrate Chinese New Year.
The children drew their own choice of Chinese New Year Zodiac signs and used their scissor control and fine motor skills to carefully cut out their designs. Using red, yellow, and gold colours and glitter the children finished off their masterpieces – which look fantastic on display in the nursery.
Our practitioners discussed with the children about the Chinese tradition and how the colours represent luck, wealth, happiness, and prosperity.
